As the owner of a gas stove, it is important to do regular cleaning schedule to not only ensure sanitation while cooking and preparing food, but also for maintenance purposes. Continue reading to learn about the steps you can take to keep your gas stove clean always .

Turn off all your gas burners and allow the stove to cool down completely before cleaning to prevent yourself from getting injured.

Fill your sink or wash basin with hot water and add enough liquid dish-washing soap(preferably our Adez liquid wash, you can get this on our site ) to create a soapy mixture.
Remove your stove’s gas surface burners and place them in the water and soap mixture to soak for several minutes.
Use a cleaning rag to clean the surface burners after they have soaked for several minutes.
Use a straight pin to clean the inside of the holes of the surface burners where the gas flames are emitted.
Rinse your surface burners thoroughly in hot water to rinse off any remaining soap.
Place your gas surface burners upside-down on a clean, dry towel to allow them to dry completely.

  • As an alternative drying method, you may place your surface burners upside-down in an oven for 30 minutes at 300 degrees.

Clean Your Gas Burner Rings.

  1. Fill a wash basin or sink with warm water and add liquid dish-washing soap (preferably our Adez tested liquid soap, can be purchased on our site)to make soapy water .
    2. Remove your burner rings by lifting each grate from around each burner on your stove top.
    3. Use a soft, non-abrasive sponge(available for purchase on our site)to clean away any grime or debris from each of your burner rings.

    4. Use baking soda(can be purchased on our site) paste to scrub away stains that is difficult to clean with the soap and water mixture.

    • You may also add 1 cup of baking soda to a large pot of boiling water and submerge the burner grates fully into the boiling water. Boil the grates until all the grime has been completely removed. You may need to perform this procedure twice since you will require 1 burner grate to boil the water.

      Rinse your burner grates under warm, clean water and place them on a clean towel to dry completely before replacing them on the stove top.

Clean Your Gas Stove top Surface

  1. Remove your gas burner grates and set them aside.
    2. Remove and dispose of large pieces or chunks of dried food and debris that have collected under the grates, such as grains of rice etc.

    Spray your entire gas stove top surface with glass cleaner or a soap and warm-water mixture.

    Use a sponge or soft cloth to spread your cleaning solution around the stove top and to scrub away any existing tough stains.
    5. Use a clean, dry cloth to remove any excess cleaning solution.
    6.  Replace the gas stove burner grates to their original spots when you have finished cleaning.
